Here are a couple of links to interesting articles regarding treatment of Addison's disease with Percorten- V (DOCP).  DOCP is the same as Zycortal.

This outlines the fact that most dogs with Addison's disease need much less replacement injectable mineralocorticoid hormone that the drug sheet recommends. It is worth reading and discussing with your vet if your dog hasn't yet started Zycortal treatment or if your dog's electrolyte levels are above or below what they should be, following a dose of Zycortal.
