Hi All,  I hope I am posting in the right place ? I was after some help with Pigmented Viral Plaques.  My 6 year old Vizsla Macey, has had them now for about a year and we have tried Azithromicin which didn't work.  She has had 3 lots of surgery to remove multiple raised plaques which were sent off for histo.  2 of her plaques have shown signes of changing to Sacrem Cell Carcenoma (Sp??)  She still has multiple plaques on her feet, in between her toes and in her arm pits.  She has some more that have changed to raised plaques from pigmented spots but I am very reluctant to have any more surgery.

I have tried giving her two doeses of Thuja (wart treatment) but this has had no effect and I have also started giving her daily Vit C to boost her immune system.

I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience of PVP and if anyone can help at all ?  I am requesting my vet refer us to Christopher Day a holistic/alternative vet to see if he can help but I would be really greatful to hear anyone's personal experiences with this ?

Thank you.

Hi

I have no personal experience of PVP but I do wonder if something called CV247 would help?  See info below.

I have used this on one of my dogs and I have known several other dogs to be treated with this non-invasive treatment.  Holistic vets such as Richard Allport and  Nick Thompson use CV247 and it might be worth a call to see if it would be an appropriate treatment for PVP and worth trying on Macey.   Insurance companies will cover treatment costs.

Someone else on the forum may have better idea.  I wish you luck.

Jo

Originally developed by Veterinary Surgeon John Carter, CV247 is a combination of substances with therapeutic effects for the improvement of the quality of life of dogs suffering from malignant tumours and associated conditions. It may be advantageous for the adjuvant treatment of animals treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It may prevent or delay the recurrance of tumours which have been either partially or completely removed surgically.

At Holisticvet we have been using this product to support animals with tumours for the last two years. We are very happy with the results, as are dozens and dozens of clients. Please see the links below for more information on this simple, side-effect free supplement

Thank you so much for your response.  Your post made for interesting reading and I will discuss it tomorrow when we go and see Chris.

How did you get on with Chris - did he think he could help?
