Me too....lets hope that no news is good news although i'm itching to know how she is.

Just had a text from Jeanna..... she hasn't been able to get on to post......
Mikah has been improving, but a bit of a blip at the moment......  and is having a GA in the morning to remove the stomach tube.... they think it's causing am intestinal bleed.  Has been sleeping a lot today, not as lively as before, so it needs to be sorted asap.
So, fingers crossed everyone, and positive thoughts again until we know more.
Jeanna will post an update tomorrow when she has news..... and when she has latest test results also.

Thanks for letting us know Sandy.
Hope she does ok once the tube is removed.

Will be a bit on pins until we get our next update though.

Please lt Jeanna know we are thinking if her and Mikah and Lindzi still.

Thanks Sandy, for the update. I've been waiting to hear more about how she is doing.  Keeping all things crossed.

Hallo to the "godmothers",
just had a text from Jeanna (her PC still not working, hopefully tomorrow).
"Today Mikah is improving and playing a little - hope tomorrow will show an improvement in her results! They did take her tube out but had to put her on fluids for a day first!   Her urea had doubled but creatinine is ok.  She is weak but now improving".
That's all I have, hopefully we'll hear more tomorrow.
Positive thoughts and love to all the family- xx

Hi,

Thanks for the update. I can't seem to get with the new format as much as the old and I didn't receive the requested notification I'd set for any posts on Mikah so missed out on seeing this earlier.

So happy to hear Mikah is improving. My heart skips a beat every time I read an update,  I'm almost scanning ahead to make sure everything is ok. Keeping everything crossed for her continued recovery, and for her family.

Just to let ye know, my 17 year old Hamish who was diagnosed with aggressive oral melanoma (and I got the details of the UK use of Oncept from Sylvia on this site which helped in the 2 month fight to get the drug for use in Ireland); well Hamish had his first injection of Oncept on Friday morning 2.5 months after diagnosis. He has to be taken to Dublin every 2 weeks for 8 weeks to get the injection. It is a highly experimental treatment but there is a little hope and it is not hard on him so please keep him in your thoughts as well..

Thanks xxx

Wonderful news about Mikah. Playing is a good sign that she is getting better. I hope the blips she is having settle down so she can be a regular dog again.

****thanks Sandy

What a long job this has been.  The stress must be draining but at least this is a step forward.

She deserves so much to be happy and healthy again.  Have you got any news about the drug manufacturers involvement?

Finally have somehow managed to log in to CIMDA Just to update everyone after all this time - Mikah is doing great, she still has her bloods tested regularly and they vary a little but last weeks bloods were good.  :)

That is such wonderful news... thanks for the update  :)
Please give her a hug from me when you have a chance
