Yes, that is a very hard thing to deal with. I hope justice is served. You really have to wonder how people can live with themselves sometimes. There is no compensation for losing your lovely pets either.

I have Lola's paw print tattoo'ed on my foot now. Not something I would do again, for just any other dog  :P As soon as it is healed up and looking good I will post it if I can figure out the picture thing. I had the artist put it just under where the scar is from her nail. The scar got strangely more red after the tattoo. I suppose from the trauma of it, even though it is only near the tattoo.

I've been waiting for this announcment Gail and look forward to seeing the artwork.  Lola must be smiling!

I trust it will heal soon.

I just realized that today is Lola's birthday (adoption date), she would have been ten years old today. They said she was about one year old when I adopted her.  I have a picture of her the first night where we stayed at my sister's house near Chicago. It was a five hour trip so we had to make a two day trip of it. In the picture she is sleeping on top of my overnight bag. She was the one who adopted me :)

Funny that I unconsciously waited until her birthday/our anniversary, to get the tattoo.

What lovely memories Gail, and these coincidences are very strange aren't they? Thank goodness for them.

You are very brave Gail.  Didn't say before but a friend of mine who has several tattoos told me how painful it was to have one done on a foot - not much sub-cutaneous fat apparently.

There will never be another Lola and this is a lovely tribute to her. Look forward to seeing it if you can.
