Three days on steroids but not eating much

Hi - my 8 month whippet pup is not eating very much. She has been diagnosed with SRMA. She has had the steroids for three days now. Thanks.

Hi Erica , We had similar issues when our whippet was diagnosed at 18 months old. We found cooked lamb got her started , tripe ( really smelly type) green tripe also tempted her and helped put weight on . It took a while before the steroids took over for her and eventually she was counter surfing and  stealing food. Cooked chicken too.( freshly roasted ) One thing was for sure .... She wasn't going to eating dog food initially!!
Good Luck . Put a coat on the whippet maybe a help so the body doesn't use fat to keep warm.

She has eaten some chicken. I will try your suggestions. She will eat cat food biscuit but I am not sure this is good for her. I have switched the heating on and I popped a jumper on her yesterday. She seemed to be sleepy in the morning but perks up a bit in the afternoon.
