Hi
Our dog Pippa was recently diagnosed with IMT and is 🤞 on the road to recovery. We have taken her to France a couple of times in the past and dogs have to have the rabies jab to travel. We don't believe this was the trigger as it was nowhere near her diagnosis and obviously she cannot ever have this again. The question I have is: has anyone taken their IMT dog to France since diagnosis? Can you get a rabies exemption or is this the end of her travels abroad?

Hi

Personally, I don't have any experience of this but there is an abundance of information on the internet that may help you make your decision.

I would hope you may be able to get an exemption from re vaccinating, based on medical history and a risk/benefit assessment, and  if there were proven anti body titres to rabies on a blood test, but I have a feeling this is not permitted.

Good luck
Jo
