Non Regenerative IMHA
« on: August 01, 2018, 04:27:53 PM »

Looking for some more advice on NR- IMHA. My 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier Jill was diagnosed in April of this year. To date she has had 4 blood transfusions and is on 6 different medications. She is currently on Atopica, Plavic, Prednisolone, Mycophenalate, Omeprazole and now lithium. She is still showing no signs of getting any better. Her most recent Coombs test however was negative but still no signs of regeneration. My question is how long can you keep filling your dog with medication? Each time her blood transfusions are not lasting as long. I know a lot of these questions might be unanswerable however some more advice might be good. I have heard that possibly she is on too much medication now for example the Prednisolone. Any suggestions/ thoughts welcome.
Thanks. Iain.
