Dear all at CIMDA,
I am so sorry for not having been able to check in regularly, I am back again in Egypt after 4 long  long months in Austria..My mother' s health condition stable...we can only pray..
Cecil has been a constant comfort to me getting me through these difficult months..she has had phantastic training with a wonderful " dog whisperer" , she has learned immensely and in a minimum time passed two exams that are the equivalent to puppy class and obedience training. Her trainer expects her to continue the ladder of exams up to the Schutzhund and attests her extraordinary drive and intelligence. So whenever it is possible I will go back to continue her training meanwhile keeping up all she learned by training her myself.
I do hope to find time to get back reading all the posts I have missed..I missed you Jo and everyone else who knows us...
We wish you a Merry Christmas , Happy Holidays and a Good Healthy New Year from Egypt..with lots of wags sent to the UK, US and over the pond to AUSTRALIA and South Africa

I feel bad for not being able to check in on cimda regularly..my mother is still very sick and i am staying beside her. Cecil is a bundle of energy growing into being a young lady. She gets obedience trainingvregularly and her very experienced trainer is trying to solve her problem she has with other dogs. She gets very excited when meeting other dogs and generally does not like them so we are working on this.most probably she was not exposed to different dogs when she was a puppy. Otherwise she is being loved by everybody at dog school and is a comfort to me in hard times. Hugs to everyone

Thank you Penel, Angela and everybody for keeping us in your thoughts. Things are getting tougher in Egypt nowadays but the Egyptian people are determined to not surrender to fanatics and radicals who monger civil war.
We are safe and at a distance from dangerous locations but unhappy that the overall security situation has not improved because Islamists spread their terror as much as they can.
I am happy to be able to go to Austria for a holiday in mid August. I will take Cecil with me and started training herto go into her flight box. It is only a three hour flight and I am sure she will cope well. She will be getting obedience classes  there and I am sure she will enjoy the cool of woods and meadows in Austria as much as I will. My pack have helped me a lot enjoying a normal life inspite of all the bad news around us. Things would have been much more stressful without them besides I feel very safe with Ceci
Always in protection mode. Hope all of you are well.
Sending you hugs and wags

So sorry Chris that you lost your girl. All of us have tried to save our furbabies and  done everything possible, some successfully, some to little avail, but all,of us keep the good memories, and with time wounds heal, although we never really get over the loss of these precious friends.
She runs free now over the rainbow bridge, without pain and suffering, that should give you some
Comfort.
Keeping You in my thoughts

Hi Chris, I know so well what you are going through right now..
I cannot add anything to what Jo said, just as well..give her more time, she might look very sick , but as soon as medication  kicks in, you will find a dramatic improvement.  Let her save her energy for her recovery and make sure she gets the correct immunosupressive dose of preds !
Keeping all our fingers and paws crossed for a good outcome for your furbaby here in Egypt
