Hi folks, just to let you know Jo has no internet at the mo so can't log on.  She'll be back soon we hope!

Hi Trina, if they are going to up the pred then sometimes vets will put the dog on a broad spectrum AB 'just in case' - as Jo says because pred suppresses the immune system they are prone to catching other things.
However, at the mo, as Jo says, she's not on an immunosuppressive dose.
Let us know how you get on at the vets tomorrow.

I haven't checked in for a while, and am pleased to see such a positive update for Merlin, how is he doing now?

There's no one waiting to join?

I haven't checked in for a while (stuff going on at home with my own animals) so it's great to hear little Merlin is doing well.  Good news.

Gum checking gets to be a habit doesn't it!
So great to hear how well she is doing, thanks so much for letting us know.

How is Merlin doing now? that toe looks good to me.

Well done Tagg, that's super progress.  All the things you describe are as you say quite typical and to be expected.  Onwards and upwards!

Poor Merlin, it's one thing after another isn't it.  I really hope you can see some improvements in these sores in the coming days.

Thanks Jo.  Pretty much what we've always said eh about the vaccs and treatments.

Yes I would think so.
How is he today? what a terrible time you're having, I'm so sorry for you.

That sounds very reasonable to me. I remember with Saffy's reductions we only ever reduced Pred on it's own, or Aza on it's own, never at the same time. And we gave 2 weeks or more in between each reduction.

Hi, so sorry to hear Tasha has been so terribly poorly the last few days, you've done wonders getting her to the hospital and them stabilising her, it's a tough time for you all, lots of us have been there.
It's so good she's a happy relaxed dog as well because that will help so much with stress levels while she's being looked after.  Sounds like it's all going to plan at the moment.
Did they do a bone marrow biopsy?  I guess at the moment you don't know which immune suppressive meds she is on.  Any idea of a trigger? recent vaccination / flea treatment / heart worm ?
I'll pop in again later and see if there's an update on Tasha.
